About Branch Out
Native San Franciscan Leighsa Montrose was drawn to floral design in 1989. Encouraged and inspired by accomplished world-renowned teachers, masters, and mentors she followed her path of formal floral education in florticulture and design. Since that time she has dedicated herself to the development of her craft.
Leighsa has won numerous awards and accolades for her floral artistry and event designs. In 1996 she was inducted into the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), an organization committed to excellence in floral design, professionalism and education.
Leighsa established Branch Out Floral and Event Design in 1993. Since that time she has been commissioned to provide exquisite “complete environments,” blending floral design and décor for a myriad of San Francisco Bay Area locations. These locations have included classic churches, private homes and estates, historic mansions, and wineries. She is known for her innate ability to “hear” what her clients may not be able to convey in words and interpret their vision through flowers and décor. Her unique talent is influenced by a wide range of aesthetics – from timeless classic to modern architectural. She has a unique and imaginative ability for blending her clients' personal tastes and sensibilities with existing architectural environments. The results are a breathtaking palette of textures, shapes, flowers and refreshing color schemes. Utilizing her understanding and knowledge of the principles and elements of design for each and every composition within a seamless custom event design is her objective and focus. Continuity of theme is paramount.
Leighsa makes herself available to lecture, as well as teaching design classes and workshops. She mentors when time allows. Her events and designs have been featured on television and in numerous nationwide event, bridal, home design & current event publications throughout her 18+ years in the industry. Her designs have been published in books such as: Bouquets to Art (2006) by Pamela J and Style Your Dream Wedding (2008) by Susie Chelho.
Leighsa is a member of ISES (The International Special Events Society) and a founding sponsor and member of the WIPA (the Wedding Industry Professionals Association).
